The Federal loss in killed, woundedand missing was 1,384, of which 1,020belonged to Daviss Mid Carrs divi-sions. Tho Confederates lost 2,000in killed, wonuded and prisoners. Among the missing Federals wasLieutenant-colonel F. J, Hermit, whocommanded tho Ninth Iowa whileits Colonel, William Vaiidiver, headedolio of Carrs brigades.
