Română: Descrierea stemei:

Stema comunei Mehadia, potrivit anexei nr. 1.14, se compune dintr-un scut cu partea inferioară rotunjită, fiind împărţit în formă de furcă răsturnată. În primul cartier, în câmp roşu se află o carte deschisă, o călimară şi o pană de scris, toate de aur. În cartierul al doilea, în câmp argintiu se află o amforă roşie, respectiv o podoabă romană, neagră. În partea de jos a scutului, în câmp albastru este ruina unui teren de argint. Scutul este trimbrat de o coroană murală de argint, cu un turn crenelat. Semnificaţiile elementelor însumate: Cartea, călimara şi pana de scris simbolizează activitatea cronicarului Nicolae Stoica de Haţeg. Amfora şi podoaba romană simbolizează faptul că localitatea a fost o renumită colonie romană. Ruinele terenului simbolizează turnul de pe Dealul Barcan. Coroana murală cu un turn crenelat semnifică faptul că localitatea are rangul de comună.
