Later, after editors have had a chance to test it locally, it could be enabled for everyone (and turned off by anyone who doesn't want it), if that's agreeable to everyone. ::There's still quite a lot that is uncertain. That's not surprising, because the project is still new. And it means that this wiki could have a lot of influence in the early work. For example, the team is trying to decide how to prioritize some of their ideas, and I'd love to know which you like best. One is to make it use the visual editor (so, bold text looks bold when you type it, links look red or blue, etc.). Another is to have a "live" preview, so you can see your comment (with the formatting) as you type the wikitext. What do you all think? I will inform the community about this option on the weekend, but I don't expect opposition until it is an opt-in feature (on the other hand, I don't know how many editors will try out by enabling the beta feature). We can decide the further steps later together, as we see the feedback about the new features.
