A Grammy-díj kategóriáinak listája
A Grammy-díjat egy sor kategóriában adják át, és mindegyik egy speciális területét fedi le a zenéhez kapcsolódó tevékenységeknek. Az egyes kategóriákban általában több jelölt közül választják ki a díjazottat. A kategóriák listája időről időre változik. Az alábbi lista a jelenlegi kategóriákat tartalmazza.[1][2][3][4]
KülöndíjakSzerkesztés
Léteznek különdíjak, melyeket az általános jelölési procedúrán kívül ítélnek oda, tipikusan a többéves kimagasló teljesítményekért.
- Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award: egy különleges elismerés olyan előadók részére, akik életük során kiemelkedő jelentőségű művészi alkotómunkát végeztek. (1996-ban Solti György kapta meg.[5])
- Grammy Trustees Award: egy különleges elismerés olyan személyek részére, akik zenei pályafutásuk során jelentős munkát végeztek lemezfelvételeken, de nem előadóként. (1967-ben Solti György, 1984-ben Bartók Béla kapta meg.[6])
- Technical Grammy Award: egy különleges elismerés olyan személyek és/vagy vállalatok részére, akik kiemelkedő jelentőségű technikai munkát végeztek lemezfelvételeken.
- Grammy Legend Award: egy különleges elismerés folyamatosan elemezek készítő, nagy hatású előadók vagy együttesek részére. 1990-ben vezették be, de nem adják át minden évben.
- Grammy Hall of Fame Award: egy 1973-ban létrehozott díj a történelmi jelentőségű, tartós minőségű hangfelvételek elismerésére, melyek legalább 25 éve megjelentek már. A díjazottakat évente választja ki egy ismert és jelentős szakemberekből álló bizottság.
- MusiCares Person of the Year Award: egy 1991-ben létrehozott díj olyan zenészek elismerésére, akik nem csak a zenében alkottak kiemelkedőt, hanem a karitatív munkában is aktívak. A díjat a MusiCares alapítvány adja át minden évben.
Általános kategóriákSzerkesztés
A zenei műfajoktól független négy általános kategória a következő:
- "Az év albuma" (Album of the Year), melyet a kiválasztott album előadója és a produkciós stáb kap az év albumáért.
- "Az év felvétele" (Record of the Year), melyet a kiválasztott dal előadója és a produkciós stáb kap az év felvételéért.
- "Az év dala" (Song of the Year), melyet a kiválasztott dal szerzője, ill. szövegírója kap az év daláért.
- "Legjobb új előadó" (Best New Artist), melyet az az előadó kap, aki adott évben alapozta meg ismertségét.
