After moving in a big house at the Miracle of Love , Jose, Benedict, Jimmy, Cynthia Oliver, Nathan, Laly and Manuela on vacation in the sunny Caribbean . That, they will return to Love Island Nicolas, who separated from Helena, now lives in a shack on the beach of Happy Bay.
In the second season, the group finally settled on the island. Benedict and his old friend Johanna (the band was found after she had a car accident) become responsible for a bar, and Jose Nicolas skippers are on behalf of Captain Oliver they will eventually become partners and Jimmy responsible for a watersport. Adventures, including police, are numerous in the tropics . Subsequently, Benedict opened his own art gallery while and Laly Johanna engage in managing a real estate agency offering villas for rich visitors to the island. It's always in season 2 that the character of Joan emerged: first maintaining a difficult relationship with Nicolas following his adventure with Jose, it will eventually move into the cabin and then share the hero's life .
Season 4 sees the return of Helen, who after the death of his companion, Dr. Blake, decides to travel halfway around the world with her dark secret to rejoin his friends, including Nicolas, for whom she still experiences feelings very strong. Torn between two women in his life, Nicolas is swept away by the choices that will offer him there.
At the end of season 5 that an old friend reappears in turn Christian, the famous Cricket love of Helen and the Boys , landed on the island to find Johanna, who now lives with Jose. Determined to find the woman he has stopped thinking all these years, Christian will strive to regain.

This series is the third in a tetralogy centered on the character of Helen Girard and his friends, started in 1992 with Helen and the Boys and continued in 1995 with Miracle of Love . Unlike the two previous series, The Holiday of Love does not match the format of a sitcom (the episodes last about fifty minutes and outdoor scenes are more numerous) and is characterized by a more dramatic tone less oriented humor. Les rires enregistrés en sont d'ailleurs absents. The recorded laughs are also absent.
Among these three series, The Holiday of love is that which remains the longest on the air (over ten years, excluding periods of interruption of the circulation, against two and half years to Helen and the Boys ), but this is not the longest in terms of number of episodes (160 episodes for the holiday of love, against 280 episodes for Helen and the Boys).
A fourth package containing the same characters, entitled The Mysteries of Love , was released in 2011 on TMC .
Love Island, the island fantasy series, is actually the island of St. Martin in the French Antilles .
