Methanomicrobiales

A Methanomicrobiales a Methanomicrobia osztályba tartozó Archaea rend. Az archeák – ősbaktériumok – egysejtű, sejtmag nélküli prokarióta szervezetek. Fajai szén-dioxid redukáló metanogén szervezetek. Hidrogént vagy formiátot használnak redukálószerként. A Methanomicrobiaceae család nagyon polifiltetikus.
