My name is Sturgeontransformer (aka "J. Wynne," for those wishing to confirm authorship), and I am a Wikipedia contributor currently based out of Vancouver, BC, Canada. Some of my diverse interests include the history of extraction-based heavy industries (such as mining, logging & oil and gas development), science, geography, art history, gender studies, and the intersection of contemporary Romani (Roma/Gypsy) and Indigenous issues.

My primary focus here at Wikipedia is to create, edit, and improve articles that are of historic and contemporary significance. I am committed to the principles of academic specificity, criticality, neutrality, and attention to detail. In particular, I am interested in carefully documenting and sharing subject matter that (arguably) has received less mainstream media attention.

Pages I have created on Wikipedia include:

  • History of Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh longshoremen, 1863-1963
  • Coloniality of gender
  • Environmental racism in Europe

I am continually working toward achieving neutrality and academic rigor, and always welcome constructive, thoughtful feedback. Feel free to contact me anytime through private message, or the talk section of this user page.

Thanks for reading!
